De behandeling van patiënten met een schisis (lip-, kaak- en gehemeltespleet) stopt niet na de operatie. Logopedie speelt een essentiële rol in het verdere traject, waarbij kinderen hun spraak ontwikkelen en beter leren communiceren.
Binnen het FLAP-programma van PAZHolandesa werken wij al meer dan 25 jaar met een multidisciplinaire aanpak. Naast chirurgische zorg omvat dit ook langdurige begeleiding en gespecialiseerde therapieën, zoals logopedie.
Juist deze integrale benadering zorgt voor duurzame resultaten en een betere kwaliteit van leven voor onze patiënten.
In december werd dit kindje geopereerd door het team Fundacion FES- Dr. Parri. Zijn lip werd gesloten — een belangrijke eerste stap.
Onlangs bezochten onze sociaal werkster en een laatstejaars geneeskundestudente van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen het gezin thuis in een van de pueblo jovenes van Arequipa. Want bij PAZHolandesa blijven we betrokken. We volgen het herstel en kijken wat er nog nodig is — medisch én sociaal.
Een operatie verandert een leven.
Maar continuïteit maakt het verschil.
Steun onze zorg en geef kinderen niet alleen een operatie, maar blijvende begeleiding.
Afgelopen woensdag hield Dr.Florez, coordinator van het schisisproject, spreekuur waarbij de patientjes, die in januari j.l. geopereerd werden door het team van Dr.Mike Ruettermann, voor een tweede controle postoperatief gezien werden.
In 2025 ontvingen o.a.deze kinderen binnen ons sociale multidisciplinaire schisisproject hun eerste operatie, nl. het sluiten van de lip..Elke foto vertelt een verhaal van zorg, inzet en nieuwe kansen.
